Cambridge, Ontario Engagement session

On Canada Day, I met up with Laura and Shawn at Riverside Park in Cambridge to photograph their engagement session. I was extra excited for this shoot because I've never done a fair or carnival-esque shoot before and I had always dreamed of doing something this fun! There must've been at least 20 000 people around us, and the air was full of noise and energy. Tons of families, couples, and friends were at the Canada Day celebration enjoying our Country's birthday festivities.

I've never photographed amongst SO many people before. It took a little time for us all to get comfortable and wrap our heads around the fact that Laura and Shawn were probably completely on display in front of so many people. I shot with a telephoto lens too, which I thought was going to make me stand out like a sore thumb, but after a while, a strange thing happened: I started to feel invisible! There was just something about it... I felt like the 3 of us were all disappearing in the crowd.

Laura and Shawn are SUCH an adorable couple. They love each other so much and it wasn't hard to catch some really great moments of them just having fun and enjoying the fair. I can't wait for their wedding in October, Laura and Shawn are such a stunning couple and I know they will both be a dream on their big day!

I'm constantly surrounded by so many beautiful individuals, and with it the reminder of how blessed I am to be apart of their special day. They enrich my life and in turn I offer a creative interpretation of their magical day.

Danielle was so much fun to work with during our engagement Shoot and wedding day. We absolutely love the photos she took and are so happy with the selection she provided us. T'n'T wedding Day!

I met Theresa and Thirstan a year ago this January. It's been so awesome getting to know them. I'm constantly saddened by the fact they live in Ottawa and I only sometimes get to see them! Definitely peeps that I'd want to hand out with on the regular.

They pretty much planned their wedding 'long distance' but I was blown away with all the gorgeous details that made their day even more beautiful. From the dress, to the shoes, the flowers, the change in hair styles from a 'Day' to 'Night' look, it seemed that nothing was unaccounted for!

I especially loved that photography and documenting their special day was an uber important part of their day. They wanted to go all out and have a full 12 hour day. And so it was.

John and I started bright and early at 10am, and finished a staggering 12 hours later. The day simply flew by, and we barely noticed until we woke up the next day and felt our sore feet!

Fabulous Father/Daughter session!

Such could be said of the beautiful loving relationship between a father and adoring daughter. Their bond is strong and I could see that every moment they share together is appreciated. We got together for a session in the park last weekend, lucky to have missed the rain, and snapped some fun shots of them together. Their last session having been a few years back made this even more special.
