Waterloo, Ontario Engagement & Family session!

A few weekends ago, I got together with Heather and Curtis, who have set their wedding date for January 2016, and we photographed their engagement session. Uptown Waterloo is one of my favourite spots to shoot in because of all the fun texture and buildings around, similar to what I found in Stratford!

I'm always drawn to 2 certain areas to photograph in, nature/farmland and urban textured areas like old buildings and things that are showing signs of age.

Heather and Curtis came to me as a referral from another fabulous photographer friend, who I completely adore and idolize their work, so I knew that I HAD to make this incredible. The images we created made us all very happy and even more excited for their wedding day.

One thing I love about my engagement sessions is the opportunity to further build the friendship and bond I share with my clients. Its a great way to just hang out and spend time together and in the process, snap a photo or two. :-)

Christmas Studio sessions at Herakovic Photography!

Last weekend, at Herakovic Photography's new studio, we opened a mega can of Christmas here, did we ever have a blast! We photographed about 20 families, who came, smiled, laughed and threw snow around with reckless abandon!

We now have tons more space to work with in the new studio, and we definitely out it to good use! We invited families to bring cozy Christmas pjs, set up 6 Christmas trees, had a 10 gallon pail full of 'snow' and we let 'er rip! Thank goodness for shop vacs. We're certain we (and our clients!) will be finding snow around their house and in the dryer until Spring.

New Life - an Ontario newborn photography session @ Herakovic Photography

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous newborn baby boy, just 11 days old in the new studio. Newborn Photography has really evolved in the past few years, and become a huge trend! It's something I enjoy immensely, but holding back from planting a million kisses on these babies is pretty tough! This little man is blessed to have a proud big sister who loves the heck out of him!

A beautiful Saskatchewan Prairie style Thanksgiving Family Session

It's the time of year to give thanks, be with the ones you love, eat and celebrate all the blessings and good fortunes that we are gifted.

This year I am in the Prairies - good ol' Saskatchewan, where I was born and raised! It's been wonderful being here, and we are blessed with the most beautiful weather. We enjoyed a fabulous parade in the small town of Rosetown, and the amount of candy the kids collected from all the floats was impressive! Tomorrow is Turkey Day, and a monster truck rally to follow. Card games, visiting, eating, deserts, and of course photo opportunities are everywhere and the mild weather has me out taking photos every chance I get!
