Whistle Bear - Cambridge, Ontario Wedding - Alex & Matt get married!

After a long cold winter in Ontario, it seems as though we have finally been blessed with nice Spring weather! Alex & Matt's gorgeous wedding at Cambridge's eloquent Whistle Bear Golf and Country Club couldn't have been nicer!

All in all, it really was one of those weddings where I felt like I could have been wearing a bridesmaid dress and gotten away with it. The entire wedding party were so amazing, fun, chill, happy go lucky, quick to smile, gorgeous, full of laughs, and 100% totally there for their friends Alex and Matt.

What made this wedding one-of-a-kind for me, was the fact that the brides gorgeous mum HANDMADE the wedding gown! AND ALL the bouquets/boutonnieres! The level of talent and creativity displayed at this wedding and by the bride and her mum was astounding. I have SO much appreciation for crafty talented folks! The bride and groom had informed me that they had been very hands on with all their wedding decor and details, which I love. It just has this way of adding a super personal touch to the day, and having your personality shine through all those little magical touches that make the day even more memorable.

It made me so happy to have been there for them that day, and I'm pleased to post some fun samplers from their day. As always, Whistle Bear shined with their impeccable service, and luxurious venue. A very big thank you, Whistle Bear for being such amazing hosts!

Christmas Studio sessions at Herakovic Photography!

Last weekend, at Herakovic Photography's new studio, we opened a mega can of Christmas here, did we ever have a blast! We photographed about 20 families, who came, smiled, laughed and threw snow around with reckless abandon!

We now have tons more space to work with in the new studio, and we definitely out it to good use! We invited families to bring cozy Christmas pjs, set up 6 Christmas trees, had a 10 gallon pail full of 'snow' and we let 'er rip! Thank goodness for shop vacs. We're certain we (and our clients!) will be finding snow around their house and in the dryer until Spring.

Dana & Todd Cambridge Whistle Bear Wedding Previews!

What an amazing August I've had! Between moving into the new studio and getting to photograph a handful of gorgeous weddings, (2 back-to-back at the drool-worthy, newly renovated Whistle Bear Golf Course!) theres not much more that this gal could ask for. Or is there? lol

well.... as it turns out, if you throw in an impromptu visit to a firehall with a group of gorgeous bridesmaids and a brides who isn't afraid to have fun, a lot of fun can happen. And dreams become fulfilled. *insert girly giggle here*

We had a whole hour to burn after motoring' through the getting ready shots with the girls, and it really looked as though it was going to start raining any moment, but that didn't stop us from pilling into some cars and hitting up a McD's AND a firehall. Wheeehoo!!

Surrounded by friends and family who love and support these two so very much, here is a sneak peak into what ensued on Dana and Todd's magical day!
